Expertise
Willem Muhren is als promovendus verbonden aan het departement Informatiemanagement van de Faculteit Economie en Bedrijfswetenschappen. Zijn promotieonderzoek richt zich op de vraag hoe informatiesystemen hulpverleners bij humanitaire rampen kunnen ondersteunen, zodat ze zich beter bewust worden van wat er gebeurt en gebeurd is, wat voor hulp er nodig is, en in staat zijn om betere beslissingen te nemen. Het onderzoek wordt onder de supervisie van Bartel van de Walle uitgevoerd, en maakt deel uit van het project Interactive Collaborative Information Systems (ICIS) van het Nederlandse Ministerie van Economie, waaraan ook andere partners meewerken, zoals de universiteiten van Delft en Amsterdam en TNO.
